A.  e-mail enquiries@ukshowing.co.uk    or       CLICK HERE

Q. What time do the rings start and what time will my class be in?

A. All rings will start at 8.00am prompt and are scheduled to finish no later than 5.00pm. Class sizes vary so it is up to the individual competitor to make a judgement as to what time his or her class will start.

Q. What should we wear in the evening performance?

A. Navy or black jacket, white or cream stock, top hat and a big smile. This dress code is not compulsory except the smile, your daytime showing attire is perfectly acceptable. Due to safety concerns top hats can not be worn by lead rein or first ridden competitors.

Q. How do we define the word novice?

A. Where the Pony/Horse hasn't won a first with any rider prior 1st January 2009, then this is classed as novice

We ask people to use their discretion when deciding if their pony/horse is Novice or not. If the horse/pony has won a flat

class then it can't go in the novice flat classes but is still eligible to go in Novice WHP classes. In the past we

have had people trying to go in the novice class whose pony/horse have competed at a high level but as it is a new

Partnership they think it’s acceptable to go in the novice class which it is not, but a horse/pony that has only competed
in a handful of shows and is 4 or 5 years old is still clearly a Novice. A horse/pony who has been out of work or ill, although the horse/pony may have had a break for a while it will not be able to compete as a novice.
We ask you to use fair judgement on this matter.
